Happy Birthday

Today was my birthday, and what a great day it's been! The girls in my dorm are simply amazing. When I got up this morning I found a card from my RA, which was a great start to the day knowing that someone here cared that it was my birthday. When I went to my first class one of the guys I'm friends with also had a card for me and Professor Peters sang "happy birthday" to me, she's a very good singer by the way. Throughout the day all of the girls on my hall have written messages for me on my dry erase board telling me happy birthday and anytime I've seen them they have been so enthusiastic about it being my birthday. Not only have the girls on my hall been enthusiastic about it being my birthday, so have all my friends on campus and my teammates!
My mom and her assistant came out here and took me out to lunch at Billy Boys, which is really good. Lunch was amazing I can't remember the last time I've laughed that much or that hard. After lunch I went over to softball and the team made me laugh so much. Let's put it this way as good as they are at softball, they're that bad at singing. When I got back to the dorm several of the girls were out in the hall and they started singing rendom songs to me. The singing led to a couple of us putting off doing homework to sit and chat. Those girls are crazy and made me laugh so much.
To sum up my day so far is simply to say it's been amazing and it's only going to get better. Shawn, my boyfriend, is taking me out to dinner. He's keeping it a surprise where we're going so that has me very excited. I'm very curious to know what we're doing tonight. I'm usually not very big on surprises but for some reason I like that he's kept it a secret from me even though I've begged to know. Wow this is one very great birthday! And, it only seems to be getting better as the day goes.
